2026 PIT Count EVENTS
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual community effort to better understand homelessness and housing instability in Apache and Navajo Counties. Each year, trained volunteers conduct anonymous surveys with individuals living in places not meant for habitation—such as tents, vehicles, RVs not connected to utilities, sheds, or off-grid settings. In partnership with local organizations, the PIT Count also serves as an outreach effort, with volunteers distributing winter supplies like jackets, blankets, hygiene kits, and other essential items at community sites and through mobile outreach across our rural communities. Community members are encouraged to get involved by volunteering, donating, or hosting distribution sites to help ensure everyone is counted and supported.
